al-Sulami

Abu Abd al-Rahman Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Sulami al-Nisaburi was a Khorasan scholar known for his compilation of Haqa'iq al-Tafsir, an early compilation of spiritual and allegorical Quranic interpretations from Sufi figures. He was also the author of Tabaqat al-Sufiyya, an important biographical dictionary of early Sufi figures. His works require scholarly contextualisation as some esoteric interpretations diverge from mainstream Sunni tafsir.
