This entry refers to hadiths transmitted jointly or in parallel chains by two Companions: Abu Huraira and Zaid ibn Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with them both). Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) was the most prolific narrator of hadith among the Companions, having memorized over five thousand traditions through his devoted companionship with the Prophet ﷺ after embracing Islam in 7 AH. He sacrificed material comfort for knowledge, remaining in the mosque to learn rather than working for sustenance. Zaid ibn Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) was a Companion from the Juhaina tribe who participated in the Battle of Hudaybiyyah and narrated over eighty hadiths on worship, found property, and practical legal rulings. Their combined narration in Sahih al-Bukhari on the rules of found property (luqata) and the punishment for fornication is among the most cited joint transmissions in the hadith literature. When their names appear together in a chain, it demonstrates corroboration between independent witnesses, strengthening authenticity.
