Shams ad-Din Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Abd al-Hadi ibn Qudama al-Maqdisi al-Hanbali (704–744 H/1305–1343 M) adalah seorang Hanbali ahli hadits from the terkemuka Maqdisi family of Damaskus and one of the terkemuka murids of Ibn Taymiyyah. Despite dying at sekitar 38 tahun of age, ia meninggalkan a significant ulamaly warisan.
Ibn Abd al-Hadi belajar kepada Ibn Taymiyyah, from whom he absorbed the Hanbali hadith-oriented ulamaly metodeology, and under the leading pakar haditss of Damaskus and Mesir. Ia menjadi a terpandang otoritas in ilmu-ilmu hadits and biographical literature.
His most important karya-karyanya meliputi as-Sarim al-Manki fi ar-Radd ala as-Subki (The Sharp Sword in Refuting as-Subki), a detailed response to Taqiyy ad-Din as-Subki's defense of the permissibility of visiting Nabi ﷺ's ﷺ tomb and seeking intercession — a work that represents an important contribution to a major theological debate within Sunni Islam. He also mengarang al-Muharrar fil-Hadith (The Purified Work in Hadith), an important hadith anthology used in legal hukum-hukum, and al-Uqud ad-Durriyyah fi Manaqib Syaikh al-Islam Ahmad ibn Taymiyyah, a biographical work on his guru Ibn Taymiyyah.
He also mengarang a substantial biographical kamus of ahli haditss. Ibn Abd al-Hadi adalah dikenal karena his precision and thoroughness in ahli haditsship and his loyalty to the Hanbali-Athari tradisi of his guru. He wafat in Damaskus in 744 H, mourned as a ulama of exceptional ability who wafat too young.
