ابن جبير
Abu al-Husayn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Jubayr al-Kinani al-Andalusi was a scholar, poet, and traveler from Valencia, Al-Andalus. His famous Rihlah (travel account) documents his journey from Andalusia to Mecca for Hajj and back (1183-1185 CE), passing through Sicily, Egypt, the Hejaz, Iraq, and Syria. It is one of the most detailed and vivid accounts of the medieval Islamic world, describing mosques, markets, rulers, and daily life. It influenced later travelers including Ibn Battuta. He died in Alexandria in 614 AH.
