Karima al-Marwaziyya

Karima bint Ahmad al-Marwaziyya was one of the most respected female hadith transmitters of the 5th century AH. She was a high authority for the transmission of Sahih al-Bukhari, and major scholars like al-Khatib al-Baghdadi, al-Bayhaqi, and others traveled to hear the book from her. She lived to over 100 years old and transmitted hadith with an extremely high chain (isnad ali). Her transmission of al-Bukhari is considered one of the most reliable chains.
