Manazir Ahsan Gilani

Manazir Ahsan Gilani al-Deobandi al-Hanafi (1310–1375 AH / 1892–1956 CE) was a scholar associated with Darul Uloom Deoband known for his scholarly contributions to Islamic intellectual history in India. His Islamiyat ma'ashiyyat (Islamic Economics) was one of the first systematic treatments of Islamic economic principles. He also wrote on the history of Islamic thought and education in India. He served as a teacher at Darul Uloom Deoband and Darul Uloom Hyderabad and contributed significantly to Islamic scholarship in Urdu.
