Muhammad ibn Faramurz ibn Ali al-Hanafi, known as Mulla Khusraw, was the Shaykh al-Islam (chief religious authority) of the Ottoman Empire under Sultan Mehmed II (the Conqueror). He was the leading Hanafi jurist of his era and wrote Durar al-Hukkam fi Sharh Ghurar al-Ahkam (a major Hanafi legal text) and Mir'at al-Usul (on usul al-fiqh). These became standard texts in Ottoman madrasas. He died in Istanbul in 885 AH.
