نسيبة بنت كعب
Nusayba bint Ka'b al-Ansariyya al-Maziniyya, also known as Umm Umara (died approximately 13 AH), was one of the most celebrated female companions of the Prophet ﷺ for her physical bravery. She was among the women of the Second Aqabah pledge. At the Battle of Uhud, when many companions fled, she remained beside the Prophet ﷺ and fought to protect him with her sword and bow, receiving twelve wounds. The Prophet ﷺ reportedly said: 'I did not look to the right or left at Uhud except that I saw Nusayba fighting to protect me.' She also participated in other campaigns and lost a son in battle.
