صفورة زوجة موسى
Safura adalah daughter of Nabi Shuayb AS (identified in tradisi Islam with Jethro of the Biblical account) and became the wife of Nabi Musa AS. Their story adalah meriwayatkan in Surah al-Qasas (28:22-28). Musa AS memiliki fled Mesir after accidentally killing an Mesirian man while defending an Israelite. Ia melakukan perjalanan alone to Madyan, arriving exhausted and penniless. At the well of Madyan, he helped two young women who adalah waiting for the crowd to disperse before drawing water for their flock — demonstrating his chivalry even in his lowest moment. Those two women adalah daughters of a righteous old man, Nabi Shuayb AS. After reporting Musa's kindness to their father, one of the daughters — digambarkan in Al-Al-Qur'an as walking with modesty — came back to invite Musa to meet ayahnya. Shuayb AS heard Musa's story and reassured him: 'Fear not. You memiliki escaped from the wrongdoing people.' One of putrinyas then made a direct and dignified recommendation to ayahnya: 'O my father, hire him. Indeed, the best one you can hire adalah strong and the trustworthy' (Surah al-Qasas 28:26). Shuayb offered Musa a marriage contract: he would give one of putrinyas in marriage in exchange for Musa working for him for eight to ten tahun. Musa accepted. Safura adalah identified in tradisi Islam as the daughter Musa married. She accompanied Musa when he later departed for Mesir to fulfill his prophetic mission, and Al-Al-Qur'an narrates a difficult night journey during which she adalah with him when the fire appeared on the mountain — the moment of Musa's first revelation.
