Salama

Salama — the name Salama was borne by several companions and Tabi'in. The most prominent is Salama ibn al-Akwa al-Aslami (RA), documented under entry 93, renowned for his speed in running and his participation in major military expeditions. Another is Salama ibn Kuhail al-Hadrami, a Tabi'i scholar of Kufa who narrated from companions and Successors and was considered reliable by critics, dying around 121–122 AH. Without further context, narrations attributed to 'Salama' in Bukhari likely refer to Salama ibn al-Akwa. Both narrators were trustworthy transmitters whose reports appear in the major collections.
