This entry represents narrations transmitted jointly by Marwan ibn al-Hakam and al-Miswar ibn Makhrama, may Allah be pleased with al-Miswar. Al-Miswar ibn Makhrama was a companion of the Prophet ﷺ, born in Mecca two years before the Hijra and the nephew of Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf. He was a child during the Prophet's lifetime but personally witnessed key events and narrated hadiths from the Prophet ﷺ as well as from Abu Bakr and Umar. He is particularly known for his detailed narrations about the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah — one of the most important events in Islamic history — providing eyewitness-level accounts that are among the most detailed historical records of that event. Marwan ibn al-Hakam was an Umayyad figure who transmitted narrations received from companions. Their joint narrations are preserved in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim and are among the primary sources for knowledge of the Hudaybiyyah negotiations, the terms of the treaty, and the Prophet's conduct during that pivotal period.
