أم رومان
Umm Rumman bint Amir ibn Uwaymr al-Kinaniyya (died 6 AH) was a companion of the Prophet ﷺ and the mother of Aisha bint Abi Bakr and Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr. She was the wife of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq. When the scandal involving Aisha (hadith al-ifk) occurred during the expedition to Banu al-Mustaliq, Umm Rumman's response and Aisha's response are both recorded in the authentic accounts of this event. She narrated a small number of hadiths. The Prophet ﷺ is reported to have praised her after her death.
