أم شريك
Ghuzayyah bint Jabir al-Qurayshiyya, known as Umm Sharik (died approximately 25 AH), was among the earliest Muslim women. Born in Makkah into the Quraysh, she secretly worked to convert other Qurayshi women to Islam during the early Makkan period, risking her life to spread the message. When discovered, she was tortured. She later emigrated to Madinah. She was known for her generosity and hosted guests extensively. She narrated hadiths from the Prophet ﷺ and is counted among the companions.
