Anas ibn Malik al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) was the personal servant of the Prophet ﷺ for ten years and one of the most prolific Companion narrators with over two thousand hadiths. His mother Umm Sulaym brought him to serve the Prophet ﷺ when the Prophet arrived in Medina, and from that point Anas remained in close proximity to him for the remainder of the prophetic era. The Prophet ﷺ said of him: 'O Allah, increase his wealth and his children and bless him in what You give him.' His narrations cover virtually every dimension of the Prophet's daily life — how he ate, prayed, slept, spoke, and treated those around him. He settled in Basra after the Prophet's death and became the last surviving Companion there. His longevity allowed him to transmit the Sunnah to scholars who lived well into the second century of Islam, making him a bridge of extraordinary value. He passed away around 91–93 AH. This entry is a variant romanization of the name Anas ibn Malik.
