Death of Imam al-Qurtubi

Abu Abdullah Muhammad al-Qurtubi, the Maliki jurist and Quran commentator, died in Upper Egypt. His Tafsir al-Jami li-Ahkam al-Quran is one of the most important legal commentaries on the Quran.
