Allah's Protection of the Prophet from Jahiliyyah Practices

حماية الله للنبي ﷺ من أفعال الجاهلية

Mecca

Throughout his youth, the Prophet Muhammad was divinely protected from the vices and idolatrous practices of the pre-Islamic era. On two occasions he intended to attend nighttime entertainment gatherings in Mecca as a young man, but Allah caused him to fall asleep both times, and he did not awaken until the morning sun. He never worshipped idols, never drank wine, never engaged in the immoral practices common among Meccan youth, and was known for his truthfulness and trustworthiness. The Meccans called him al-Amin (the Trustworthy) and al-Sadiq (the Truthful), and people would entrust him with their valuables for safekeeping. This divine protection ensured that his character would be beyond reproach when he later proclaimed his prophetic mission.
