حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ وَزَكَرِيَّا عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ وَفِطْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ أَنَّ بَشِيرًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْحَلَ النُّعْمَانَ نُحْلًا قَالَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى ا
للَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ وَلَدٍ سِوَاهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَكُلَّهُمْ أَعْطَيْتَ مَا أَعْطَيْتَهُ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فِطْرٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَكَذَا أَيْ سَوِّ بَيْنَهُمْ وَقَالَ زَكَرِيَّا وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ لَا أَشْهَدُ عَلَى جَوْرٍ

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, from Ismāʿīl, from al-Shaʿbī; and Zakariyyā, from al-Shaʿbī, from ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUtbah; and Fiṭr, from Abū al-Ḍuḥā, from al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr: that Bashīr came to the Prophet ﷺ wanting to give al-Nuʿmān a gift. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Do you have any children other than him?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Have you given all of them what you have given him?' He said: 'No.' Fiṭr said: the Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'Then do so — treat them equally.' Zakariyyā and Ismāʿīl said: 'I do not bear witness to injustice.'
