حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ فِرَاسٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِي رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً فَمَاتَ عَنْهَا وَل
َمْ يَدْخُلْ بِهَا وَلَمْ يَفْرِضْ لَهَا قَالَ لَهَا الصَّدَاقُ وَعَلَيْهَا الْعِدَّةُ وَلَهَا الْمِيرَاثُ فَقَالَ مَعْقِلُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ شَهِدْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَى بِهِ فِي بِرْوَعَ بِنْتِ وَاشِقٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ فِرَاسٍ

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Firās, from al-Shaʿbī, from Masrūq, from ʿAbdullāh regarding a man who married a woman and then died without consummating the marriage and without having set a dowry. He said: 'She receives the full dowry, she must observe the waiting period, and she inherits.' Maʿqil ibn Sinān said: 'I witnessed the Prophet ﷺ judge with this regarding Birwaʿ bint Wāshiq.' ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Manṣūr, from Ibrāhīm, from ʿAlqamah, from ʿAbdullāh — likewise as the narration of Firās.
