Ibn Abi Mulaika — this refers to Abdullah ibn Ubaydullah ibn Abi Mulaika al-Tamimi al-Makki, a Tabi'i scholar and judge from Mecca. He served as a qadi (judge) during the caliphate of Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr and was held in high esteem for his legal knowledge and moral integrity. He narrated from a wide range of senior companions including Aisha (RA), from whom he heard many narrations directly, as well as from Ibn Abbas, Ibn Umar, and other major companions. Scholars of hadith regarded him as fully reliable (thiqah). His narrations appear frequently in Bukhari and the other major collections, and he is counted as one of the important Tabi'i authorities in the Meccan scholarly tradition. He passed away around 117 AH.
