Jabir (RA)

Jabir ibn Abdullah (RA) — this entry in the Bulugh al-Maram collection refers to the same companion whose full biography appears under entry 6. Jabir was from the Ansar of Medina, participated in nineteen expeditions with the Prophet ﷺ, and narrated over 1,540 hadiths. He was among the last of the senior companions to survive in Medina and continued teaching the Tabi'in until late in his life. His narrations in Bulugh al-Maram are particularly significant for legal rulings on transactions, marriage, and acts of worship. He passed away around 78 AH.
