• Sometimes one sahabi would receive a question, he would push the person to someone else and sometimes it would come back to the first sahabi. • They were reluctant to give fatwas because they were afraid of the responsibility. • Sheikh’s advice: You don’t have to give fatwas, refer the people to someone who is knowledgeable. Learn to say “I don’t know” (and don't say "I don't knowbut…") • Don’t be too extreme though, if someone asks you about something like wudu’, don’t say Allahu Aa’lem
